    Teaching Assistant (Band 5) Spinal Column Point 5 £11,810.70 per annum, 27 hours per week (a working schedule of  8.30am – 3.30pm each day and Friday 8.30am – 11.30am), term time only (190 days per year).  Fixed-term until 31st August 2022.

     West Park Primary School wishes to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join the teaching support team within school and as such has a vacancy for a suitably experienced, enthusiastic and committed individual. This position would be to start as soon as possible.

    Applicants will possess NVQ Level 2 or equivalent. The school is looking for applicants with excellent communication and ICT skills, who can develop effective relationships with pupils and colleagues and be able to follow teachers’ plans.

    Candidates will have experience of working as a classroom or teaching assistant within a primary school environment.

    West Park Primary School wishes to appoint a new lunch-time Supervisory Assistant to join the Supervisory Assistant team within school and as such has a vacancy for a suitably experienced, enthusiastic and committed individual.

    The successful candidate will supervise activities and maintain the health, safety, welfare, good conduct and safeguarding of pupils during the lunch break, having regard to special or additional needs.

    The successful candidate will have experience of experience working with Children, and of working as part of a team. They should be suitably experienced and be able to meet the criteria detailed on the person specification.

    Maternity Leave cover – to commence as soon as possible.

     Administrative Assistant (Band 4) Spinal Column Point 4 £11,150.07 per annum (pro rata), 26 hours per week (a working schedule 8.30am – 12.30pm each day and Thursday and Friday afternoon), term time only (190 days per year).

     The school wishes to appoint an Administrative Assistant to join the office team to provide maternity leave cover which is expected to continue until 9th July 2022.

     BAND 7 – COVER ASSISTANTS x 3

    Cover Assistant (Band 7) Spinal Column Points 8 – 11, £10.62 – £11.27 per hour. term time only, 195 days per year (including PD days). These are “Acting up” positions that will cease on 31st August 2022.

    West Park Primary School is looking to appoint 3 Cover Assistants from the existing staff in school. The successful postholders would continue to work their existing substantive weekly hours. These are “acting up” positions. The roles would commence in September 2021 and are a temporary arrangement for one year up to 31st August 2022.

    The successful candidates will supervise whole classes, across the school from Nursery to Year 6, undertaking pre-prepared activities provided by a teacher to address short term absences. The successful candidates will maintain order, keep pupils on task and ensure active learning is continued.

    Candidates should be suitably qualified and experienced, possessing a NVQ level 3 or equivalent and having worked as a classroom or teaching assistant within a primary school, for a minimum of 2 years, have experience of working successfully and collaboratively with teachers to plan and deliver programmes of teaching and learning activities for classes and be able to meet the criteria detailed on the person specification.
